In 2025, Webdrill proudly celebrates its 10th anniversary—a decade defined by strategic growth, operational excellence, and industry leadership. Founded in 2014, Webdrill emerged from a vision to challenge the status quo in underground diamond drilling. CEO Jared Webb, leveraging years of industry experience, saw an opportunity to build a company that prioritised safety, respected individual talent, and delivered measurable results.

From its early days—designing a logo, building a website, focusing on the foundations and selecting its first rig from Atlas Copco in Sweden—Webdrill was built with purpose. By 2016, the company secured its first major project with Pantoro Gold at Nicolsons, Halls Creek, setting the stage for rapid expansion.

The years that followed brought both complexity and opportunity. In 2014, operating from a home office, Jared and Sheree Webb represented Webdrill at Diggers & Dealers, creating key industry relationships. By 2017, the addition of RIG 03 and the leadership of Michael Farr ("Farry") enabled Webdrill to expand across Western Australia, delivering exceptional results in both gold and nickel drilling.

Webdrill's growth has always been underpinned by a strong culture. In 2019, the company became an early advocate for mental health in mining, investing in proactive support programs that reinforced its reputation as an employer of choice. This focus on well-being, alongside a zero-compromise approach to safety, became a cornerstone of its identity. In February 2019, they expanded beyond the home office and moved to Balcatta. As the team quickly outgrew that space, they relocated to the current headquarters in Landsdale in November 2020, gaining the office and workshop capacity needed to support their rapid growth.

The COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 tested the resilience of the entire industry. Webdrill responded swiftly, implementing enhanced employee assistance programs and maintaining operational continuity. By the end of 2022, the company had expanded to 16 rigs and achieved an impressive 2,576 days LTI-free—a testament to its safety-first ethos.

In 2023, Webdrill launched the MCR Rebirth Program, reinforcing its commitment to innovation. That same year, several rigs were impacted by the Nickel downturn, prompting a necessary scale-back. This challenge also presented a strategic opportunity to begin standardising the fleet with the Webdrill-spec MCR—enhancing consistency, performance, and long-term efficiency.  

In 2024, the company proudly announced its international expansion into North America, positioning Webdrill as a global player in the underground diamond drilling sector.

2025 began with strong momentum, including a strategic quarterly planning day to align goals and celebrate achievements. With a solid foundation and a clear vision, Webdrill is poised to deliver exceptional value to clients and partners in the years ahead.
