ENERGY Resources of Australia has appointed Rio Tinto Australia managing director Barry Cusack as the company’s chairman.
Rio took control of ERA in early August after winning a takeover battle with Anglo American for its parent company, North Ltd.
Former ERA chairman Malcom Broomhead resigned last month.
Cusack is also chairman of Bougainville Copper and Coal & Allied Industries and director of a number of other Rio subsidiaries.
