The contract is for the design and construction of a primary crushing plant and overland conveyer for the Queens project at the Solomon Hub.

It comes after RCR delivered the Hopper 9 crushing facility at FMG's Cloudbreak mine last year.

RCR is partnering with Primero Group, which will provide engineering support and construction services, while civil construction and earthworks will be undertaken by NRW's civil division.

NRW is currently acquiring Primero in a friendly cash and scrip takeover and had reached a 70.85% interest as of Friday.

"The integration of our new minerals energy and technology team of RCR Mining Technologies, DIAB and Primero on a project such as this, combined with the NRW Civil and Mining team all focused on end-to-end delivery, is another milestone for the business," NRW CEO Jules Pemberton said.

Primero said the value of the sub-contracted work was about $30 million, taking its FY21 order book to $310 million.

Shares in NRW closed at $2.98 on Friday, valuing the contractor at $1.28 billion.
