First Quantum opens new Ravensthorpe nickel mine

THE Ravensthorpe nickel laterite operation on Western Australia’s south coast has had a chequered history since BHP developed the A$2.2 billion dollar mine in 2008 and walked away after just eight months, but a new phase for the mine began yesterday.
