TNG says it is only waiting on native title agreements before it can secure the mining lease for its Mount Peake vanadium-titanium-iron project and start site works.

One final agreement is needed by TNG.

It has just been awarded Commonwealth environmental approval for Mount Peake under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act by federal Environment Minister Josh Frydenberg
 
It follows on from the Northern Territory Environment Protection Authority approval in January, and means the mining lease is the final hurdle.
 
The company expects to secure that as soon as a final mining agreement is signed with the Central Land Council and, while negotiations are advanced, the exact timing of an agreement is unknown.
 
TNG said negotiations have been positive to date and it expects a near-term resolution.
