Bronzewing deaths an accident, coroner finds

WESTERN Australian State Coroner Alastair Hope has ruled that the death of three workers at Normandy Yandal's Bronzewing mine last year was an accident, despite raising serious concerns about safety standards.

"I find that Normandy caused or contributed to the deaths in the sense that Normandy was responsible for the construction of the barricade," Hope said in his inquest findings, handed down yesterday,
