Richmond Vanadium Technology is a newly listed ASX (RVT) company and owner of the world-class Richmond Vanadium Project in North Queensland. The project hosts the largest deposit of non-titanomagnetite vanadium on a global scale and can provide significant economic development opportunity at both regional and national levels, as per the declaration of Coordinated Project Status by the Queensland Government in May 2022.

The project has a JORC 2012 Ore Reserve of 459.2Mt @ 0.49% for 2.25Mt V2O within a global Mineral Resource of 1.8Bt @ 0.36% for 6.7Mt V2O5. A robust Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) has been completed demonstrating a technically viable and financially attractive development project indicating an initial 25-year life of mine.

On behalf of our client, MPI are seeking a highly qualified Feasibility Manager to execute and manage all components of the Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) to further optimise the project scope and economics prior to development.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the role will be required to prepare and deliver a Bankable Feasibility Study to launch the development of the Richmond Vanadium Project, detailing cost analysis for mining, concentrating and refining (onshore and offshore options).

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Coordination and management of all aspects of the BFS, including mining and mineral processing options, hydrogeological and geotechnical studies, and all governmental and other statutory approvals required to support development.
  • Evaluate downstream processing options, both in Australia and internationally, incorporating the various potentially applicable process pathways into the project studies.
  • Financial modelling of the project, including sensitivity analysis to support an investment decision.
  • Undertake appropriate risk analysis of the key project drivers and develop robust risk mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare final BFS report to the standard necessary to meaningfully engage with potential project financiers.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • A Degree in (Mineral Processing/Mining Engineering/Geology) as a minimum. Post graduate qualifications in Metallurgy would be highly regarded.
  • Feasibility project management experience of mining projects, supported by a strong operational understanding of mining and minerals processing operations.  Hydrometallurgy experience would be highly regarded. Experience in vanadium is advantageous but not essential.

The benefits of this opportunity will include a competitive salary package and bonus incentives. This is a highly coveted ground floor opportunity to work with a world class asset supported by revolutionary processing methodology, with potential for an operational role going forward.
