BHP awards $100M debottlenecking contract

Pilbara work to be complete next year

CPB was selected by BHP to deliver the structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation package for the port debottlenecking project at Nelson Point, Port Hedland.

"This project builds on CPB Contractors' substantial experience in delivering resources infrastructure," CPB managing director Jason Spears said.

"We are pleased to continue our long-term partnership with BHP, to deliver another important resources project in the Pilbara."

The project involves delivering both greenfield and brownfield works.

Work will begin this year and be completed in 2023.

CIMIC shares closed at $17.32 yesterday, valuing the company at $5.4 billion.
