Gindalbie soars on takeover, demerger

SHARES in Western Australian iron ore miner Gindalbie Metals jumped almost 120% in morning trade to hit levels not seen since 2017 as investors piled in to the usually overlooked company amid the news it was set to spin-out its copper assets as part of a takeover by long-time supporter Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation.

Gindalbie shares hit A2.6c this morning, bouncing off recent lows of 0.12c, as news of the cash offer from its Chinese partner in the Karara magnetite iron ore joint venture in the Mid West miner broke. ...
