Vale to boost war chest as M&A speculation swirls

MINING giant Vale says it is planning to boost its coffers by up to $US15 billion ($A15.8 billion) through a public offering of shares, as reports emerge that the Brazilian company is once again on the acquisition hunt for a major mining house.
