Chinese worker killed at Ramu

A CHINESE worker was killed on Thursday at the massive $US1.4 billion ($A1.52 billion) Ramu nickel-cobalt mine in Papua New Guinea, a joint venture between Australian Securities Exchange-listed Highlands Pacific and China’s Ramu NiCo Management (MCC).

It is not clear what led to the man's death, but Highlands said project manager MCC was co-operating with regulatory bodies investigating the incident.
