Grasberg flags $2.8B process optimisation, workers return

WORKERS are set to return to the Grasberg copper-gold mine in the Papua province of Indonesia today after reaching an agreement with the PT Freeport Indonesia union, while majority mine owner Freeport McMoRan Copper & Gold plans to spend $US3 billion ($A2.82 billion) from 2015 to optimise processing as it transitions to underground.
