His resignation will take effect immediately.

Navigator said its Bronzewing gold project had presented a number of technical and commercial challenges during Hatch’s time as MD, which he had addressed with both professionalism and diligence.

Richard Mehan has resigned as MD and chief executive officer of Jupiter Mines.

Mehan will however stay on with the company for a short time to ensure a smooth transition, as Greg Durack takes up the position of CEO immediately.

Breakaway Resources has appointed former Bass Metals executive director of operations Victor Rajasooriar to the position of managing director, effective from July 2.

Rajasooriar, a mining engineer by trade, has more than 17 years experience in underground and open pit mining operations.

ElDore Mining Corporation has welcomed the appointments of James Thompson, Neil Hackett and Andrew Waller as non-executive directors of the board.

In addition, Hackett will also serve as joint company secretary.

Craig Willis and Richard Griffin have resigned from the board.

Australia Minerals and Mining Group has announced the appointment of Peter Bailey as non-executive director, effective immediately.

Bailey, who has 40 years experience in the mining and industrial mineral production industry, is the former CEO of Texas-based Sherwin Alumina refinery.

Prior to Sherwin, Bailey was appointed president of Alcoa Worldwide Chemicals’ in 1998.

Marenica Energy has appointed Bo Yang as director.

Yang is the chief financial officer of Hanlong Resources and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Malagasy Minerals has elected Graeme Boden to the position of non-executive director, effective today.

Boden, who has been an accountant for more than 30 years, is also a non-executive director of Gold Mines of Peru.

Jayson Meyers has stepped down as a director of Alloy Resources.

Meyers was a founding director of Alloy, having held the role of managing director until 2008 following the company’s listing in 2006.

Compass Resources has advised that CEO and director Richard Swann has resigned.

Swann will finish up with the company on June 29.

Former Oz Minerals senior executive David Burvill has been appointed project director for IronClad Mining.

Prior to his role with the company, Burvill was project director for Worley Parsons at Hancock Prospecting’s Roy Hill iron ore project in Western Australia.

IronClad is focused on developing its Wilcherry Hill iron ore project in South Australia.

Northern Minerals has appointed former Mega Uranium project director Robin Jones to the position of project manager.

Jones will be responsible for overseeing the development of the company’s Brown Range rare earth element project in WA, which is slated to come online in 2015.

Northern Minerals managing director George Bauk said Jones would bring significant project management experience to the company, having been involved with a handful of large scale projects in South Africa, Australia and China.

Excelsior Gold has announced the resignation of Nicholas Ong as company secretary.

Karen Brown will be Ong’s successor, effective today.

Excelsior said Ong remained a non-executive director of the company.
