SOG adds new blood to its board

SONS of Gwalia has appointed Professor Malcom Richmond – a professional fellow to Western Australia’s Curtin Business School, Division of Engineering and Science, and the WA School of Mines – as a non-executive director.

Greg Tubby

Prior to his retirement several months ago, Richmond was the managing director of development at Hamersley Iron, a subsidiary of Rio Tinto. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in metallurgy and a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) from the University of New South Wales.

“Professor Richmond has a wealth of experience gained during his career, which includes almost 30 years with the Rio Tinto Group,” Said SOG executive chairman Peter Lalor.
