Inco shares drop on Voisey's Bay cost

THE share price of Canada's nickel giant Inco has taken a sharp knock on news that its Voisey's Bay project will cost a lot more than first thought.

Inco shares fell by C68c, or 2.3%, on the Toronto stock exchange after the company gave the go-ahead to Voisey's Bay at a capital cost of US$776 million, 14% more than the original budget.
