Better results included 8m grading 4.4 grams per tonne from 94m and 10m at 3.6gpt from 156m.

According to De Grey, Crow and the three other main mineralised zones - Aquila, Brolga and Falcon - mean the Hemi system currently extends over 3000m north-south, more than 2000m east-west, and to over 400m depth.

Six rigs are on site.

De Grey is aiming for an initial resource estimate in mid-2021, with a high level of ounces in the "indicated" category being targeted.

Last month De Grey unveiled a A$100 million fund raising that priced new shares at $1.20 each.

Shares in De Grey were down 5% to $1.13 in afternoon trade, capitalising the company at $1.4 billion.
