THE town of Broken Hill has put recent metal price weakness behind it, springing back to life 127 years after the discovery of its iconic silver-lead-zinc ore body. While the main lode remains the focus of production activity, tightly held land in the region around the centre is attracting considerable new exploration efforts thanks to significant discoveries, writes <b>Alan Deans</b>.
