'Stunning' gold assays reported by Great Boulder

THE visible gold in drill chips recently reported by Great Boulder Resources from near Meekatharra has unsurprisingly assayed very well … more than 100 ounces to the tonne over 1m from 114m as well as 1m grading 2379 grams per tonne from 158m in the same hole.

Visible gold from Mulga Bill

Staff reporter

The intersections came from from high-grade lodes within the overall Mulga Bill inferred resource that stands at 5.25 million tonnes grading 2.5gpt gold for 431,000oz.

Mulga Bill is part of the Side Well project that contains a total of 6.2Mt at 2.6gpt for 518,000oz.

Reverse circulation drilling is continuing.

An 11,000m aircore program is also underway testing targets along the so-called "Mulga Bill corridor" that stretches 6km but has only been relatively explored over 1km.

Much of the Side Well resource is seen as having open put mining potential because of its shallowness, while early stage met work is said to have been positive.

The Andrew Paterson-led Great Boulder had A$2.2 million cash at the end of December, as well as listed investments recently trading at a value of $3.5 million.

Shares in Great Boulder were up 2% to 9.9c in afternoon trade, capitalising the company at $42 million.
