THE gold sector gained around 1.75% Friday after bullion overnight again went through the US$2000 per ounce mark on the back of a potential better interest rate outlook in the future. Better individual gains on the day were seen by the likes of Thai turnaround Kingsgate, new West Africa miner Tietto and future wheatbelt developer Ausgold.
