Gold stocks gain

THE ASX gold patch rose about 0.5% on the final trading day of the week, with recovering Australian gold miner Dacian up strongly and multi-national miner OceanaGold rising nearly 6%. Meanwhile, on the macro front Macquarie suggested the key question is can the US Fed engineer a ‘soft landing’ rather then letting inflation get out of control or cause a recession by over-tightening interest rates.
