Production of 295,000 to 345,000 ounces of gold at all-in sustaining cots of US$1150 to $1250 per ounce sold was flagged for the year last quarter from the Haile and New Zealand operations, with third quarter production coming in at 63,136oz at AISC of $1695/oz on sales of 60,790oz.

That took year-to-date production to 202,521oz at AISC of $1367/oz on sales of 214,133oz.

OceanaGold president Michael Holmes pointed to 300,000oz being targeted in a third quarter conference call.

Haile is expected to deliver its highest level of production for the year in the fourth quarter, though OceanaGold said expected output in 2020 would likely "track to lower-end of guidance" - given as 135,000-175,000 at site AISC of $1100-1400/oz.

The company posted a September quarter net loss of $96.8 million, which included an $80 million impairment charge for the suspended Didipio mine in the Philippines.

As at September 30, 2020, the company had available cash of $127 million, and the company's revolving credit facilities remained fully drawn at $200 million. Across the third quarter, net debt increased to $187 million.

Subsequent to quarter-end, OceanaGold raised net proceeds of $122.4 million.

Holmes indicated the company was talking with lenders to extend the current repayment date starting at the back end of next year.

OceanaGold opened 11% lower in Australia at A$1.775, the lowest since April.
