Gold patch again sizzles

GOLD stocks continue to do little wrong for the bulls in the sector, with the patch enjoying yet another strong session. Among the best today was Red 5, with news yesterday that New York-based fund Electrum had spent about A$20 million in two transactions over the past 5-6 weeks to become a substantial shareholder. Last year Electrum became a backer of ASX gold explorer Breaker Resources.
