Beattie officially opens Hail Creek

THE $460 million Hail Creek coking coal mine owned by Rio Tinto subsidiary Pacific Coal was officially opened by Queensland Premier Peter Beattie yesterday, a day after New South Wales Premier Bob Carr cut the ribbon at BHP Billiton’s new Dendrobium mine.
