Iron ore stocks rally

THE bulk of iron ore plays on the Final Call watchlist posted gains today following Rio’s announcement that it had stitched up an iron ore price deal with Japan’s Nippon Steel Corp. Fortescue Metals Group was a big mover, closing 4.4% higher, while Aquila jumped 6.5% and Mount Gibson soared 7.8%.
