Copper treads cautiously

COPPER-focused companies were mostly higher as pricing of the red metal jumped but gains were stemmed over concerns about slowing demand in China and a deadlock concerning US budget talks. Copper for three-month delivery was last trading at $US7225.75 per tonne.
