Newmont faces lawsuit over Yanacocha controversy

A FRENCH businessman has filed a lawsuit accusing Denver-based Newmont Mining of paying Peru's former spy chief to help it secure a stake in South America's largest gold mine, <I>Dow Jones</I> reported today.
