An extended assay program of core collected in the first phase of RC drilling Itapitanga returned hits including 21m at 41.1gpt scandium from 4m, 12m at 32.7gpt from 2m and 17m at 30.1gpt from surface.
 
Centaurus managing director Darren Gordon said the extensive zones of scandium mineralisation are above or adjacent to the high‐grade nickel and cobalt mineralisation and was potentially important given it could be mined and processed together with the nickel‐cobalt to generate material by‐product credits at little additional cost.
