BHP officially opens new copper mine

OUTGOING BHP Billiton chief executive Chip Goodyear officially opened the Spence copper cathode operation in Antofagasta region of Chile earlier this week, which will produce 200,000 tonnes of copper cathode per year when it hits its straps.
