Our client, an ASX listed company with a high grade operating asset offshore, is seeking to appoint an experienced General/Country Manager.

Reporting to the CEO/MD, you will be responsible for the safe and effective management of the various assets in country, as well as being the company representative for all government and community liaisons necessary to ensure the ongoing operation of the various sites. This is a highly operational, hands on role, requiring you to drive all facets of the company’s business.

We require a Mining related qualification, together with a minimum of 3 years expatriate experience in a General Manager or Country Manager role, where there has been a responsibility for the operations and management of an operating mine(s). As government and community liaison is a critical component of the role, you will also require strong communications skills and a demonstrated track record of cultural sensitivity.

Apart from providing a near unique career opportunity, an attractive salary package including share incentives will be negotiated to attract someone of the highest calibre.

The role is residential in an Asian location and FIFO will not be considered.
