Xstrata, union clash over Oaky job losses

XSTRATA and the mining union continue to be at loggerheads over 230 miners’ jobs that will be axed with the closure of the Oaky No 1 mine in Queensland, but are committed to further talks with no redundancies until January 9 following a hearing at the Australian Industrial Relations Commission yesterday.
