Monadelphous has worked at FMG's Solomon operation since 2017 and expanded to the new Eliwana mine in 2019.

The new contract is for the provision of crane services supporting general repairs, maintenance and shutdown activities to FMG Solomon and Eliwana operations in the Pilbara.

"We are pleased to have secured this long-term contract with Fortescue and look forward to continuing to support their operations in the Pilbara with the ongoing provision of quality crane services," Monadelphous managing director Rob Velletri said.

In the past week, WestStar Industrial subsidiary SIMPEC won two contracts for work at FMG projects.

The first $7 million contract was awarded by Central Systems for electrical work at Solomon, while the second was a $2.1 million contract for the Hopper 5 jaw crusher replacement at Cloudbreak.

Monadelphous was down 0.3% this morning to $11.21 this morning, while WestStar shares last traded 5.5% lower at 1.7c.
