Battery metals space drives Primero growth

MULTI-discipline engineering and contracting firm Primero has delivered “excellent” results for the 2017-18 fiscal year with a 353% increase in net profit after tax and an outlook that promises strong growth across its minerals, energy and non-process infrastructure divisions.

NPAT was A$5.2 million, up from just $1.5 million the year earlier, driven by revenue up 63% to $85.2 million, and a 259% increase in EBITDA to $8.9 million, with all figures being ahead of those forecast in its June prospectus.
 
Primero expects to see growth this year with contracted revenue of $95 million out of a total order book of $120 million, and a healthy pipeline of opportunities emerging.
 
Managing director and co-founder Cameron Henry said delivering a solid result following its successful initial public offering in July was an important milestone for the company.
