SHARES in Kingston Resources jumped this morning after the company reported broad hit at its Misima gold project in Papua New Guinea.

Diamond drilling at the Central Umuna zone returned 40m at 3.17 grams per tonne gold and 10.88gpt silver from 234m, including 14.06gpt gold and 13.33gpt silver.

Other results from the hole included 6m at 1.44gpt gold and 1.98gpt silver from 55m, and 5m at 0.95gpt gold and 2.22gpt silver from 138m.

The hole was drilled about 100m below the floor of the historical pit and roughly 250m north of the thick, high-grade Central Umuna zone.

Kingston managing director Andrew Corbett said the drilling was demonstrating likely extensions to the Central Umuna zone.
