The outgoing COO had been with Novo more than three years, and previous to the Novo appointment had been involved in building Millennium Minerals' Golden Eagle mine - also at Nullagine.

Novo's Beatons Creek project near Nullagine is now estimated to contain measured and indicated resources of 4.6 million tonnes grading 2.3 grams per tonne for 345,000 ounces, as well as an inferred resource of 3.8Mt at 2.6gpt for 322,000oz.

The vast bulk of the resources are near-surface, with the latest estimate increasing the shallow ounces in the measured and indicated category by 17% - and 40% in the inferred category.
