ARTEMIS Resources has upgraded the copper-zinc resources associated with the flooded Whundo pit by around 30% this morning, with increases in the remnant sulphide ore and the addition of new oxide resources.

The Pilbara player says the indicated tonnage for the mine is now 2.6 million tonnes grading 1.14% copper and 1.14% zinc for 30,266t contained copper and 30,289t contained zinc.
 
The mine is just 7km from the Radio Hill plant and has been fallow since production was stopped by Fox Resources in 2008 due to metal prices of the day after just three years of operations. 
 
It is considered an important asset to Artemis because it sits in an approved mining lease near the plant, which Artemis is refurbishing - and adding a gold circuit as part of its exploration of the conglomerate gold play.
