Azure wants to make the transition from explorer to miner in Mexico.

Azure is looking at open cut and underground options for mining the 2.9Mt deposit grading 5% zinc and 2.8% lead, with 75% of the resource in the indicated category and extensional drilling planned this year.

Oposura, located in central Sonora, is claimed to contain near surface zones grading greater than 40% zinc and lead.

The deposit's flat lying geometry allows for open pit and (subsequently), room and pillar underground mining.

Azure has previously pointed to a 1000t per day mining operation with "very low mine development capex", while standard processing is seen as applicable.

The junior has also said it wants to make a development decision to mine in the second half of 2019.
