The 78.6 million tonnes grading 1.2 grams per tonne resource goes to 300m depth and uses a 0.6gpt cut-off, with indicated resources (inside the total resource) coming in at 25.06Mt at 1.27gpt for 1.03Moz to 110m below surface.

The overall resource reduces to 2.3Moz using an 0.9gpt cut-off, with grade increasing to 1.5gpt.

The project is now said to be moving towards prefeasibility work, with current plan envisaging a 5Mt per annum processing operation.

Amani indicated it had received “the full support of the Governor of Haute Uele who has encouraged the company to be the second producer behind Randgold/Ashanti’s Kibali project within his province”.

Kebigada is part of Amani’s Giro project, with exploration continuing.

Amani is in the process of raising A$25 million from Hong Kong company Luck Winner Investment, with new shares to be issued priced at 5c.

Shares in Amani closed Tuesday at 4.5c, capitalising the company at $56 million.
