Safety record dampens AngloGold FY2006 report

THE year 2006 returned a handsome profit for AngloGold Ashanti, with its adjusted headline earnings more than doubling to a record $US413 million ($A511.5 million). However, concerns over the loss of lives at its operations last year have the gold giant reviewing its safety strategies.
