NT Govt pushes Bill to keep McArthur mine open

THE Northern Territory Government announced yesterday that it would immediately introduce a Bill to validate the authorisation of Xstrata’s massive McArthur River openpit development after the Supreme Court found against the development late last week and caused operations at the lead-zinc mine to cease.
