THEY ARE
Lachlan Star (ASX: LSA) are an emerging, well-funded Perth-based exploration company, backed by a highly experienced board. They are focused on the discovery and development of their base and precious metals projects, with a portfolio across New South Wales, Western Australia, and Queensland.
The Company occupies an existing portfolio of assets; the Koojan and Killaloe projects in Western Australia, and the Princhester Magnesite Project in Queensland.
Having entered into a share sale agreement in August 2022, Lachlan Star are set to acquire 100% of the extensive NSW copper-gold exploration portfolio owned by DevEx Resources. This transformational acquisition will see Lachlan Star secure a highly strategic ground portfolio in the world-class Lachlan Fold Belt with multiple advanced exploration targets and significant exploration upside.
Given the recent expansion of their tenement portfolio, Lachlan Star are looking for a strong technical, market-facing CEO to drive exploration advancement and grow market awareness.
YOU ARE
An entrepreneurially minded leader, with a relevant tertiary degree in a technical discipline and over 15 years of relevant industry experience. With a passion for geology, you are excited to advance projects to discovery in a major geological province known for world class copper-gold deposits.
You are confident in promoting the company story to the market to deliver value to stakeholders and have established credibility and influence with associated capital markets. You are excited to bring your energy and vision to an emerging, well-funded company, backed by a highly experienced board.
Importantly, you are a self-starter who thrives in small, agile company environments where you can make your mark.
THE ROLE
As Chief Executive Officer, you will devise and execute a successful strategy to realise the full potential of the Company's highly prospective asset portfolio.
Utilising your geological skillset and understanding, you will oversee the exploration programs and advance the projects, with the aim of growing a significant resource.
You will act as the face of the Company, proactively driving a compelling market narrative to establish market credibility and awareness whilst building momentum. Leveraging your interpersonal skills, you will establish and lead a highly effective team, to deliver on the company's strategic objectives, whilst fostering a strong company culture.
This position will be based in Perth, Western Australia.
