Mid-tier sector dominates 2006 M&A activity

MID-tier resource companies have left their mark on 2006, with the latest Mergers and Acquisition Resource index by Ernst and Young reporting an increase in M&A activity driven largely by the sector, and the report predicts resource equities from the larger end of town will leave their mark this year.
