Heron bats off Sedgman claim, flags counterclaim

HERON Resources has accepted a partial increase in costs for its Woodlawn zinc-copper project in New South Wales, but works costing just A$223,057, a fraction of the increase of $49.9 million being claimed by lead contractor Sedgman, which it says actually owes it money.

Sedgman, which is owned by Spanish-controlled CIMIC Group, earlier fired off a warning that costs associated with the development could cost up to $50 million more than expected.
