Sedgman's expanded claim clips Heron's wings

A CLAIM from Sedgman for works on Heron Resources’ Woodlawn zinc-copper-lead project in New South Wales has blown out from a flagged A$11 million to almost $50 million above the agreed $109M contract struck with the CIMIC Group-controlled contractor in 2017.

Woodlawn could be much more costly than expected.

Heron said it was slipped the claim after the close of business on Friday, and its shares were savaged in early morning trade, losing almost 20% to hit 51c, its lowest level in more than a decade.
