Regulation could strangle innovation: Anglo

Anglo American technical director Tony O’Neill says the company is looking to establish a significant lead on other miners with its implementation of “disruptive” technologies, but has cautioned that the inability of regulators to keep pace with a higher rate of change in mining could hinder the introduction of initiatives that promise real safety, environmental and cost benefits.
