Miners get their own marketplace

A NEW classifieds website has been set up specifically for miners to cut costs and minimise waste.

Miners get their own marketplace

Stoped.com.au was set up by geologist James Allchurch, who is the managing director of Monto Minerals.

Allchurch established Stoped due to the lack of a secondary marketplace for mining and exploration equipment.

Like mainstream classifieds site Gumtree, Stoped allows users to buy, sell and trade everything from tenements to conference tickets and accommodation.

You can even find consultants on the site for hourly/daily work or equipment to rent.

A glance at the site shows ads for green plastic sample bags, lanyards, spectrometers and a whole host of other gear.

The website aims to minimise wastage in the industry and cut costs.

Stoped is free to use.
