WOMEN working in the mining industry are worse off when it comes to remuneration for their services when compared to their male colleagues, a recent Employment and Remuneration Survey of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy has revealed.

Despite finding an average salary increase of 18% over the past two years, the survey also uncovered males at senior management levels are earning almost 25% more than their female counterparts.
