THE cobalt market has seen its fair share of interesting happenings in 2018, most recently with Glencore subsidiary Katanga Mining stopping a quarter of the world’s cobalt exports until mid-2019 after finding "unacceptable" levels of uranium in its hydroxide concentrate.
