WESTERN Australian gold miner Red 5’s decision to release its December quarterly production report uncharacteristically late on a Friday afternoon was explained by a production miss, blamed primarily on mine scheduling delays.

Red 5 has left its guidance unchanged.

While the company maintained its full-year guidance of between 110,000-120,000 ounces, production for the three months to December 31 was 23,346oz, down from 28,649oz in the September quarter.
