Another 'strong' quarter flagged by Perseus

GROWING West African gold miner Perseus Mining has claimed a ninth consecutive quarter of "strong operating performance" at its operations.

 Sissingue.

Sissingue.

"Given the material improvement in our operating performance in recent times, as demonstrated by the strong performances at Edikan and Sissingué, achievement of the company's objective of producing 500,000 ounces of gold per year from 2022 appears well within our operating capacity once the Yaouré gold mine is developed and we are looking forward to delivering this outcome in due course," Perseus said.

The company poured a combined 69,139oz in the March quarter from its Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire operations, taking financial year-to-date output to 207,691oz.

Perseus will report full quarter operating details and its cash holdings mid-month.

Shares in Perseus were up more than 3% to A47c in morning trade, capitalising the company at $482 million.

The stock has been a good performer since last August when it was trading at levels around 34c.
