Kirkland Lake's Fosterville mine in Victoria continues to outperform

Fosterville produced a record 90,618 ounces of gold, up 47% year-on-year and up 17% over the June quarter.

When adding production of 89,537oz from Kirkland Lake's Canadian operations, the September quarter yielded record group production of 180,155oz of gold, up 30% year-on-year and 9% quarter-on-quarter.

"Q3 2018 was a record quarter for both Fosterville in Australia and our Canadian operations as a whole," Kirkland Lake president and CEO Tony Makuch said.

"At Fosterville, we commissioned a second gravity circuit during Q3 2018 and saw an immediate spike in production, with the Fosterville mill processing over 18,000 ounces in the first week of the circuit's operation.
